Jah Carry Us Through:Through’ is taking the reggae scene by storm! The harmonizing Singjay has scored hits in the roots and dancehall genres and infected the scene with his powerful live-sessions. For his new album he banished all that energy and “Jah Carry Us Through” is now about to be released.
16 tracks are carrying a message intending to cross boarders not only country wise. From Germany to Jamaica, passing by Great Britain and Spain melodies and lyrics finally met and songs were build on sunshine island Ibiza.
“Jah Carry Us Through” is a matter of the heart reaching out for a kindred spirit. Still there are other issues besides Riddims for Lovers that Ras Charmer is taking sincere. Politically and socially he critically takes up where it’s hard to walk on Jamaica’s streets. He puts his life on stake for the brighter side of the dark side.
Travelling a lot, his album is a record of tradition and adventure. The title song “Jah Carry Us Through” is telling one of it: On a trip passing by the boarder, he was hold back and for a longer thought the trip seemed to be finished before it had actually started. Finally he got the “GO”. Why it suddenly changed? “No clue, I guess Jah carried us through.”, Charmer said.
The album demonstrates his love for various musical genres, which he explores from Ska to Rock Steady with an intensive dip of Dancehall and elementary Roots.
